The Friends of Lincoln Library 2009 ANNUAL MEETING was held on
Tuesday Feb 3rd at 7:00pm at the Father Roger Bilodeau
Community Center on Pollard Rd.
The evening began with a short Business meeting and election of board members.
Peter Moore, Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Library made a brief presentation on the upcoming new addition to the
library.
The evening's entertainment was THE HONEYMOONERS, an a capella quartet The Honeymooners is a mixed quartet of two married couples from the Upper Valley devoted to entertaining audiences of all
ages through music, stories and fun. The performance, presented in partnership with the Arts Alliance's Classroom &
Community Concerts program, was free. It was preceded by a brief meeting. The meeting was enjoyed by all.It was a great success!

Introduction to Exploring Art This
program explored the basic tools and tips for “looking” at art and examining color, line, and form; artistic movements;
and changes in art history.
Speaking of Women was enjoyed by over 30 people. The program
explored the lives and styles of women artists such as Georgia O'Keefe, Lila Cabot Perry, and Louise Nevelson, and learn
how artists have depicted the female subject. These programs are free -- please pre-register at the Library or call 745-8159 or email library@lincolnnh.org. Sponsored by the Friends of the Lincoln Library. InnSeason Resort South Mountain
has been generous in letting us host these programs at the Village Shops.

The 2008 plant sale was a great success. A record amount of money was raised. The money will go to furnish the new
addition to the library. Thanks to everyone who contributed.

The 2009 Book & Bake sale was a great success. We want to thank everyone who volunteered
and donated books and baked goodies. We couldn't do it without your help! A special thank you goes out to Joan Denne
and Don Thompson for all their dedicated help. A big thank you to Aaron Loukes who brought all the books upstairs and then
returned in the AM to bring them out to the NEW tent that the Friends purchased for upcoming events.
The raffle
winners were Peggy Evans, Papermill Theatre tickets, Joe
Trickett Champagne brunch for 6 from Woodstock Inn and Teri Hollingsworth Hand
crafted Jewelery box, donated by Werner Willer.
