Dear Supporters and Friends of the Lincoln Public Library,
We’d like to start with a heartfelt thank you. Your generous support in 2025 helped the Friends of the Lincoln Library (FOLL) expand programs and collections in ways that truly enriched the library and our community. Because of you, we hosted several author visits, art exhibits, and member gatherings, added hundreds of wonderful children’s books through the Pilcrow Foundation, and installed the new electronic sign outside the library to keep the Lincoln/Woodstock community informed about upcoming events. We’re already seeing increased participation, and it’s all thanks to your involvement and support.
Looking ahead, Librarian Carol Riley has encouraged the FOLL board to explore even more opportunities for library users of all ages. We’re brainstorming new group activities, learning programs, and hands-on crafting events — and we’d love to hear from you. If there’s a topic you want to learn about, a speaker you’d like to hear, or other resources that could help you start or grow a hobby, let us know. Libraries are increasingly lending more than just books, and we’re excited to be part of that movement by expanding access to useful and interesting “things” for our community.
Our 2026 Membership brochure is your guide to the programs and events planned this year, so be sure to take a look and mark your calendars. Our Annual Meeting will be held at Jean’s Playhouse on April 9th and will feature New Hampshire author Ty Gagnon, who writes gripping accounts of White Mountain hikers facing extraordinary challenges. We’ll also have our popular raffle baskets and a variety of refreshments to enjoy. Favorite annual events are returning too, including the plant sale and quilt raffle, the book swap, and the holiday shopping event — plus our new wine tasting event is returning after a very successful debut this past December.
We’re also planning a summer 2026 field trip and welcome your suggestions for our next fun bus adventure. Members can once again enjoy discounted tickets to area museums and attractions — one more great benefit made possible by your continued support.
